Special Lecture Barbara Pollock

Barbara Pollack is an award-winning art critic and renowned expert on contemporary Chinese art. Her books The Wild, Wild East: An American Art Critic’s Adventures in China and Brand New Art from China: A Generation on the Rise charted the influence of Chinese artists and collectors on the global art market. She will discuss Zhang Huan's work as a young artist pushing boundaries after the Cultural Revolution as well the twists and turns his practice has taken over the last forty years amidst the vicissitudes of the art world.
