The UK Gaines Center for the Humanities presents its 2025 Bale Boone Symposium, featuring multi-media artist and MacArthur Fellow Ebony G. Patterson in conversation with UK Art Museum Director Stuart Horodner.

Patterson's expansive practice addresses visibility and invisibility, through explorations of class, race, gender, youth culture, pageantry, and acts of violence in the context of "postcolonial" spaces. She works across multiple media including tapestry, photography, video, sculpture, drawing, and installation.
