Vicki McVay

Director of the Piano Preparatory Program

Degrees: Ph.D in Music Theory, 2004, University of Kentucky

Dr. McVay earned both a Bachelor's Degree in Music with an emphasis in piano and a Master's of Musicology Degree from the University of Kentucky. She is coordinator and instructor of Class Piano at UK and has served as an instructor of Aural and Written Music Theory since 1991. She is Director of the Piano Preparatory Program that was established in 1998 at the University. Dr. McVay is a past President of the University of Kentucky Friends of Music and is faculty advisor to the University of Kentucky School of Music Service Organization.
